Part 2: Recruitment Plan:
After receiving feedback from your peers, create a job posting as a step in the recruitment process. In addition to creating the posting, you need to research two rights that are explained in the Alberta Human Rights Act toensure that you are meeting legislative requirements. You need to plan where you will carry out your recruitment process to ensure you are reaching the right pool of candidates for the job you are posting.
You must:
Research the Alberta Human Rights Act (link below). Briefly summarize the Act and explain why it is important for a manager to be familiar with this Act. Then, select two rights you would like to focus on when starting to plan for the recruitment process within the workplace. Your attention to these rights should direct your wording in the job posting and where you will advertise the job posting to reach the candidate pool that you plan to inform about the available position.
Plan the recruitment process. You must advertise internally and externally for the position that youselected for Part I. Imagine the corporate strategy for this organization and align the job posting with theneeds of the organization. You need to think about the skills, competencies and job design practices thatwill align with the job and
the corporate culture (personality) of the organization. In this organization, you are assuming that bothinternal and external recruitment activities will be conducted simultaneously to solicit the best pool ofcandidates.
o Identify two ways you will inform the existing employees (internal recruitment) that a job opportunity is available. Provide a rationale.
o You will also be expected to advertise externally: identify three specific sources that you will use to advertise the job posting. Provide a rationale for why you have decided to use these threespecific external sources, remembering to align what you are focusing on and the level of employeeyou are hoping to attract.
Note: if you select online job postings through a job board (which may or may not be an appropriate method, this depends on the position), online job postings can only be one of thethree sources used. This means you cannot use LinkedIn, Indeed and Kijiji as your threesources for advertising. If you select an online job board for a source, the two other sourcesmust not be online job boards.
Create a job posting. You should research online postings and job posting templates to provide aframework for the format that you follow. Remember to cite any external material used. You also need toread the feedback that your job design outline received from your peers in Part I of this assignment. Yourjob posting will need to:
Identify the entry-level job title
Describe the job title in two or three sentences
List the tasks that will be conducted and the competencies that you are seeking from thecandidates
You will end the job posting with two or three sentences to describe the organizationsculture.
Describe and provide rationale of the job design practices that will engage employees in the existing role. This section should include the suggestions that you recommended to buildemployee empowerment
