The independent variable chosen for X is health anxiety and the independent variable chosen for Y is the information from media.
Health anxiety is an obsessive and irrational worry about having a serious medical condition. It's also called illness anxiety and was formerly called hypochondria. This condition is marked by a person's imagination of the physical symptoms of illness. In the case of the pandemic, health anxiety has created the utmost fear among the individual for their life. People used to overthink regarding their life as if they would attract the virus by leaving their home or coming in contact with other person and would die as soon as they would get infected.
Media telecast of the pandemic has also played the main role in creating fear and havoc among the individuals. As per their telecasts, it was being shown that the person usually dies after getting affected by the virus when he comes in contact with the infected person. This created a sense of fear among the individuals.
Media telecast has therefore increased health anxiety and together they have enhanced the fear of coronavirus among the people.
