- In my role as a sales coordinator, I am required to present monthly reports to my direct manager and fortnightly reviews for my team. I also in this role, deliver product and innovation training to my staff as required. Preparation involves using either Microsoft PowerPoint or Canva as my preferred electronic presentation media. I prepare engaging presentations that include graphics, images, audio, videos, transitions, clear and concise text/fonts. I prepare presentation resources to flow in a logical sequence and pace for my intended audience. I often practice- run through a new presentation prior to delivery.
- When delivering my presentations either online or face to face, I am mindful of not moving ahead too quickly, I pause and check for understanding by engaging with my participants. I re-cap key points in content as required. I allow the audience to ask questions and respond, checking for understanding.
- To review, I use a mix of methods, the method selected depends upon my method and location of delivery. I verbally check throughout and upon conclusion of my presentation; other times I have used handout paper-based survey sheets or exit cards.
