Part I. Identify a training context

1. Identify a learner cohort.

a. Describe the key characteristics of a real or simulated cohort of learners who may want (or need) to attain an AQF qualification that is relevant to your industry or area of expertise. To do this, answer the questions below.

Guidance:

You will base responses to questions in Part 2 of this task on this learner cohort.

You may describe real learners in your workplace, or describe a realistic, simulated learner cohort.

The learner cohort may be narrow (e.g. a specific group of learners who are currently working in a particular role), or broad (e.g. members of the public with diverse backgrounds and skills).

Industry backgrounds Are they similar or diverse? Briefly describe.	A scenario based on a real current Events Management class at WAI is there would be a diverse range of industry backgrounds. This would generally includea mix of -currently in the Events industry but would like to obtain an official qualification -
Employment status Are learners currently working? If so in what industry/ies are they working in?
Anticipated support needs What foundation skill or other support needs do you anticipate the learners may have?
Other information relevant to the context

b. Describe at least one (1) source of information from which you could (or did) access information about learners who you will train or assess.

Guidance: Describe document/s or people who can give you relevant information about learners. A short paragraph response is sufficient.
