Part II - Value-Add Calculation For the project, you must determine the value-add component(s). Value-add may take different forms. You may either develop the value-add costs on a per square basis or by specific identification (eg new kitchen cabinets at $4,500). If you have both hard and soft costs you will need to add them together to arrive at the total value-add categories listed above.
