Part One:

a residential building plan that is located in Khalda as shown in Fig. $1.$ The building is four stories and

you are asked to design one element of each of the following:

Choose one continuous beam and design the sections and the reinforcement providing

reinforcement details. Explore the chance of double section criteria design.

Compare between rectangle sections and T$-$sections in design, providing reinforcement details.

Chock economic design behaviour.

Design one$-$way solid slab.

For the bearns selected check the serviceability and the development length. Control crack

limits$.$ Discuss the concepts to reduce the development length and what factors are affecting on

this value.

Analysis and Design Input Data:

$LL=2\mathrm{.}5k\frac{N}{m^2}.$

$DL=6k\frac{N}{m^2}($excluding the own weight of the beam$)$

$Fc=24$MPa for beam and slabs elements.

$F{c}^{\text{'}}=28$MPa for column elements.

$F_y=420$MPa for main and secondary reinforcement.

Each floor height $=3\mathrm{.}2m.$
