Yogan Naidoo in formulating a strategic plan. This analysis should be based on secondary research and

include references to pertinent literature. The responses needed to conduct a comprehensive SWOT analysis based on relevant research conducted on Woolworths. The first element that needed to be displayed in response to the question should have been the acknowledgement of what the SWOT analysis entails including its variables for instance there was an assumption that the reviewers know what these components entail which should have not been the case. For each of the elements provided there needed to be a comprehensive description characterising the Woolworths chains, there is a plethora of research material that is available online which should have been utilised. We clearly do not understand how a project of such nature that requires secondary research can be responded to using generic information and data. A plain example is how one can identify competition as a threat, but they fail to recognise the competitors and their market share which is information that is readily available. The SWOT analysis should have been discussed from a procurement perspective meaning that only the variables affecting procurement and supply chain needed to be exhausted.
