Purpose and Description:

The Pleasantville School District's person$-$focused pay program encourages and rewards teachers who pursue additional education and training to enhance their skills and knowledge. This program aligns with our commitment to supporting professional development and continuous improvement among our teaching staff.

Eligibility Requirements:

All full$-$time teachers employed by the Pleasantville School District are eligible to participate in the person$-$focused pay program. Part$-$time teachers may be eligible on a pro$-$rated basis.

Acceptable Types of Education and Training:

Reimbursement is available for courses, workshops, and certifications directly related to the teacher's field of instruction. Acceptable programs include accredited degree programs, professional development seminars, and relevant certifications approved by the district.

Awards for Successful Completion:

Teachers who complete approved education and training programs may be eligible for a salary increase commensurate with their level of achievement. Additionally, successful completion may be considered in promotional opportunities and for non$-$monetary recognition within the district.
