Appeal to authority Example: A commercial that claims that certain energy drink is the best because it is taken by a famous athlete Appeal to authority is a logical fallacy in which the claim is insisted to taken to true because it was put forward by an authority. In this fallacy, the authority is given prime importance than the evidence.But, when an authority or an expert claim an argument to be valid with enough evidence, it should be not taken as a a fallacy 2.
