Physical quality control issues have been plaguing a wearable pedometer manufacturer. The bands of the device do not always remain latched to the device causing it to fall off from time to time. The dimensions of the bands latching mechanism have persistently been in statistical process control (SPC). The company utilizes charts and R-charts for the purpose of monitoring process control.
