Get a balloon from a market, blow it up until the radius is about 2.5 cm. Draw a solid circle on the surface of the balloon with the radius being about 0.5 cm. Then blow up the balloon further so that the radius is going to be 5 cm and measure how large the solid circle that you have drawn.
