Pizza Delivery Process Description

Instructions: Create a Swimlane Flowchart using Business Process Modeling Notation for the following process

A customer is hungry and decides to order a pizza, so the customer calls the Pizza Restaurant.

When the Restaurant Manager asks to take the order, the customer can respond in a couple of ways depending on if the customer knows what they want to order.

If the customer does not know what to order, the customer asks the manager for the specials and the manager explains the specials to the customer. If the customer does know what to order, the customer places an order for the pizza.

After receiving the order, the manager performs two tasks (not necessarily in this order): Gives the paper order to the chef & requests the customer address and phone number. The customer responds by giving the manager their address and phone number. The chef responds by beginning to assemble the pizza. After the manager thanks the customer, the customer hangs up the phone.

After assembling the pizza, the chef places the pizza in the oven to bake for 15 minutes. The chef takes the completed pizza out of the oven, slices it, and places the pizza in a box. The chef then performs two tasks (not necessarily in this order): gives the pizza to the driver and gives the paper order back to the manager.

The driver places the pizza in a thermal delivery bag and gets the address and phone number from the manager before driving to the customers house.

If the driver cannot find the house, the driver calls the customer for directions.

After arriving at the house, the driver rings the doorbell and gives the customer the pizza. The customer pays for the pizza and begins eating after the driver says thank you and leaves to drive back to the Pizza Restaurant.

After arriving at the pizza restaurant, the driver gives the manager the money and the manager puts the money in the cash register drawer.
