Planning: All the requirements that will be needed to develop the system are planned and

gathered in this phase.

Analysis: The requirements gathered will be further analyzed and documented in the

requirement specification document.

After the analysis phase, a design phase is divided into a series of subprograms, which will be

implemented parallelly.

Designs: The system design is prepared, which specifies hardware and system requirements.

Further design phases are divided into subprograms.

Implementation: The system is implemented by using inputs from the design phase, which are in

the form of small units. At the end, all the subprograms are integrated into one program. Once

all the programs are completed, then the system will be delivered.

System testing and maintenance: The system is further tested and deployed and it is maintained

for the future.

The issues with parallel development are as follows:

The design of one subprogram affects another design phase if the subprograms are not totally

independent.

It becomes very complicated and challenging to integrate all the sub$-$projects.

Important requirements can be ignored due to the poor communication mechanism because of

the bulk of documents.
