I selected McDonald's, I believe their operating model falls under the Unification category. The unification business model focuses on high standardization and creating a platform of standard business processes as well as having customers and suppliers in different locations. In Mcdonald's, the business operation is pretty standardized due to them wanting to make their operation efficient. They aim to run all of their locations similarly to keep the experience as well as the product consistent. The processes that they follow are set by the high-level executives due to them having the data in order to make those decisions. When people think of Mcdonald they think of a quick and easy meal that is why I believe the unification operations model has worked so well for them. They have been able to standardize their operations to ensure that all their franchises are efficient and they serve a uniform product. McDonald's is able to benefit from its Unification business model due to them being such a large company with 39,198 locations in over 100 different countries. This strategy allows Mcdonald's to continue to expand as much as it has while maintaining its business operations.
