The clinic has two locations and 20 employees including a business manager, (your boss), receptionists, and health care practitioners. Your project is to convert the clinics business computing platform from Microsoft Windows to Apple OSX. As part of your project you will need to work with vendors, (suppliers) to purchase new computing devices and software, and train employees how to use them with a minimal disruption in services In the project planning phase of your project, you will built detail into your work breakdown structure and developed a gantt chart to track project deliverables through the execution phase. Part 1: (10 Marks) Answer the following questions in consideration of the Wellness case above. Each question is worth 10 marks and should have between 50-100 words in each answer 1. You are going to require weekly status meetings for your project through zoom. Identify 10 considerations for these meetings that will ensure your project stays on track. 2. Your project has now gone over budget by 8% as a result of the laptop problem. Explain how this will impact your original ROI analysis. 6. The Training Manager was very upset with the IT manager as a result of the laptop problem and they are no longer speaking to each other. Without their communication with each other, the project will surely fail. The accounting manager has requested a new mac friendly expense management software that was not part of the original scope. The VP of accounting has approved the change. What type of documentation will need to be created as a result of this change and explain no less than 5 impacts from this change on project scope and/or timelines. 8. With the delays caused by the new accounting software, explain how you might revise your project plan to use different types of task dependencies or lag times to still finish the project on time. 9. You have learned that even the simplest of projects can suffer delays, scope changes, cost overruns and other challenges. Even the most disciplined of project managers will suffer from unforeseen circumstances or overlooked details. That's why you should always include as much detail as possible in your plans, even for the most obvious of tasks. In fact, it is often the undocumented and obvious tasks that will result in a project failure. Never rely on "common sense or assume that people will naturally perform the obvious. The OA Conference had some of these types of challenges during its execution that could have resulted in complete failure but people recognized and remedied these problems through the execution phase. In the end it was a successful conference. You will find, in most cases, that the pain of project execution is typically followed by a celebration of project success.
