Problem: You recently won a contest that will pay off all of your student loans. In order to receive the money, you have to unlock a briefcase protected by a digital lock. The combination lock has two buttons ("O" and "1") that when pressed cause the Finite State Machine (FSM) controlling the lock to advance to a new state. In addition to advancing the FSM, each button press is encoded on the B signal of the embedded system (B-0 for button "O", B 1 for button "1"). The padlock unlocks when the FSM sets the UNLOCK output signal to 1, which it does whenever the last 3 button presses correspond to the 3-digit combination Part A. Unfortunately the design notes for the digital lock are hidden by the Financial Aid Bank of the World.
