1) Why does it make sense that having a random sample allows us to generalize our results to the population? 2) Why does it make sense that having random assignment allows us to draw cause-and-effect conclusions? Topic #2: Are American adults who have children significantly more likely to play video games than American adults who do not have children? Is it possible to design a randomized experiment to investigate this question? If so, describe how you would design such an experiment. If not, explain why not
