Cancer is a diverse group of diseases, primarily classified by the tissue of origin. Lung and colorectal cancer are leading cancer causes of death for men and women. Prostate cancer is also a leading cause of death in men, but obviously not women. Breast cancer is a leading cause of death in women. While men can have breast cancer it is not a predominant cause of death in men. There is no biomarker for Fatal Injuries, the 3rd leading cause of death. There are over 20 candidates for Chronic Lung Disease biomarkers, some of which require Bronchoalveolar Lavage Fluid for testing. None is pathonymonic.
