QUESTION SIX Two years ago, Vesca discovered that she had cancer and required chemotherapy. She was informed by the doctor that following treatment, she would be infertile. Vesca and her husband Victor wanted a family and knowing that it was the only way they could have their biological child, they underwent intra vitro fertilization (IVF) at the Mama Taifa hospital and then froze three embryos prior to Vesco undergoing chemotherapy. The treatment for cancer was successful and at present, there is no indication that the cancer will recur. However, Vesca and her husband have separated and Victor no longer wants to have a family with Vesca. He refused to give consent to one of the frozen embryo being implanted in Vesca. Vesca has filed a suit against Victor where the frozen embryo is the subject matter. You have been instructed by Vesca to act on her behalf in the matter.
