You are a manager of a coding team with the local hospital.$$ You have five employees $$ the coding lead, two full$-$time coders and two part$-$time coders.$$ You are preparing to offer one of the part$-$time coders a promotion to full$-$time.$$ What you are not aware of is that the two part$-$time coders are very close friends and roommates.$$ You offer the promotion to one and it is accepted, but you then notice over the next few weeks that the remaining part$-$time coder is sullen and rude to everyone, and that their output has decreased below the department standard.
