Please Complete This Assignment ASAP

This assignment consists of two parts:

1. An original posting outlining which radical political system your new political party would adhere to.

2. An evidence-based response to one of your peers proposed political parties. (A polite and insightful critique would probably function best for this part of the assignment.)

To begin (if you haven't already done so) go check out the definitions of anarchism, capitalism, communism, fascism, social democracy, and socialism in this weeks glossary.

Platform

After having closely reviewed the glossary and this weeks reading, provide a brief description of the radical political party you would like to introduce to Canadian politics today, and why. Your response should use evidence introduced in this weeks readings, including the links provided in Reading 2 and the Mouseland video.

Your posting should be persuasive, and evidence based, but you should also feel free to get creative, and develop a brief platform for your party; i.e. describe some of the benefits an anarchist platform might offer to international students, describe why communism might benefit working class people from Southern Ontario, list the reasons a single mother from Etobicoke should elect a socialist Prime Minister.

Counterargument

Your response to one of your peers should function as a sort of counter argument. Without, of course, chiding, and becoming derisive, you should point out (using evidence from this weeks learning module) where your peers projected platform and radical political party might be flawed.

Tips for the Successful completion of this Assignment

Successful postings should be a total of 400-600 words in length. Your platforms should run between 250-350 words in length and your counterarguments 150-250 words in length). What is important here is making sure that you have presented a platform and counterargument that is in keeping with radical political belief system you have adopted. You may conduct supplemental research if you wish.

Be sure to start a new thread for your platform posting, including your name and your political disposition of choice. For your counterargument posting please respond within the original thread of one of your peers.

Challenge yourself to choose a party no one else has chosen yet. It may be hard to sell a fascist platform worth voting for.

Strive to create organized readable material.

READ other postings before making your commentary; make reference to other students' postings where you can, and respond to them to show your consideration for their contributions.

Be sure to provide original content. Student work that repeats something stated in another posting will receive lower grades.

Be considerate of other student's ideas and be polite.
