The purpose of this assignment is to make connections between what you are learning in Ethnic Studies 10, our community, and the real world. Race and Racism matter in the United States, whether we want to admit it or not. For some of us, it is more prominent. For others, it fades to the back. You will earn 75 points for each of the 5 Community Praxis assignments (375 points total). For this assignment, you should explore the Native American history and culture. The goals are: (1) You participate in something outside of class and in your community; 2) You intentionally think about Ethnic Studies 10 when you are doing this activity; (3) You make connections between what we learn in this class and your experience. 1.
