You have a client named Callum who you have been working with for the past few months. He has recently ended his alcohol and other drugs (AOD) misuse again. The first time he ended his misuse he lapse and relapsed after eight years of not misusing. Callum has the goal to not relapse this time. However, Callum works on a farm and can't attend your service on a regular basis. Because he is not able to attend the service easily, he wants to develop a strong relapse prevention and management plan.

Callum started as a social drinker but began to use alcohol to cope with his feeling of loneliness and isolation. He lives on the farm with his parents who he has a good relationship with and are aware of his recent AOD concerns. All his friends live in town, and often on occasion will binge drink. However, they are all still supportive of Callum and his decision to stop drinking and want to assist Callum however they can. This is especially true for his best friend Cleo, who checks in on Callum whenever she has the chance to visit him on his farm.
Callum finds walks around the farm relaxing and enjoys winding down by watching reading books and listening to music. One relapse prevention and management strategy that can be used as goal setting for Callum is a SWOT analysis.
