I am building this database for family owned local pizzeria serving the long island/melville area for decades. The company makes pizza, pasta and other Italian dishes available for dine-in customers, take-out or delivery. The company currently uses Adelo Point-of-sale system. The current database system of the company only provides a place to organize customer and employee information along with reservation details. Moreover, the information system does not have any proper segment to analyze the repeat customers. Apple to check if there are tables available according to the proposed time and date. Currently, the system does not show the record of the lack of reservation system at different places in the restaurant. The current system is unable to handle overcrowding in waiting areas. Moreover, cannot perfectly find the number of repeat customers. The current system has difficulty interesting out customer information and history on hand for deliveries. It does not also have the facility to accommodate sitting arrangements to avoid overcrowding in the pandemic situation. The reservation system proposed can create business value by giving our customers the convenience of checking if tables are open on certain times and dates, and being able to book reservations without the uncertainty of not knowing wait times. This will lead to less overcrowding in waiting areas, as well as more repeat customers. Will lead to less overcrowding in the waiting room thus leading to higher customer satisfaction. More repeat customers as customers will not have to guess about wait times. It is more convenient to the customer as they will be able to check when the restaurant has tables open and book certain times or dates. Our proposed database system is going to make it easier to keep customer information and history on hand for deliveries, which will make taking orders faster and easier. It will also make it easier to organize and seat customers on the sit-down side of the restaurant. In general, the database is going to provide a place to organize customer and employee information, along with reservations. The database is going to address the lack of a reservation system in place in the restaurant. With the pandemic, it is important to be able to limit the amount of people seated in the restaurant at once and to not overcrowd the waiting area. Employees have a database of customers so orders placed will be faster and more efficient. Being able to see orders tracked as well as which tables are available and which are booked makes it easier to track wait times, and gives employees more information on which orders to work on. Along with creating a reservation system, it will save customer data and information for deliveries, so that the process of taking orders for repeat customers will be faster. Data stored in the system will include customer information, seating in the restaurant, customer orders, and employee information. It can value customer convenience by checking if tables are available the second time and it can inform customers about the ability of the company to reserve seeds without the uncertainty. It can be helpful in avoiding overcrowding in waiting areas. The proposed database system can make it easier to store customer information in history with confidentiality. The system can also show the available places for reservation and unavailable areas for reservation. ERD for the dataset: No. of entities: 1. Customer entity 2. Reservation entity 3. Order entity 4.
