PLEASE DO IT ON EXCEL
Case Study
Researchers wondered whether the size of a person's brain was related to the individual's mental capacity. They selected a sample of students who had SAT scores higher than 1350. The subjects took the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Revised to obtain their IQ scores. MRI scans were performed at the same facility for the subjects. The scans consisted of 18 horizontal MR images. The computer counted all pixels with nonzero gray scale in each of the 18 images, and the total count served as an index for brain size. The result is summarized in the table below.

2.Find the mean for each of the quantitative variables and comment
3.Find the 5-number summary for the quantitative variables and comment
4.Find the correlation coefficient between the quantitative variables and explain its meaning in this context.
5.Find the coefficient of determination between the quantitative variables and explain its meaning in this context
6.Compute the standard deviation for each quantitative variable
7.Is there an outlier in the explanatory or in the response variables? Explain your answer.
8.Perform a linear regression for the two quantitative variables, show your output and comment on it
9.Use the output to write the equation of the best-fitted line and explain its meaning in this context
10. Predict the IQ of an individual with MRI Count of 955,000
11. Explain the b0 and b1 coefficients in your regression
12. Use this sample to construct a 95% confidence interval for the mean IQ for all students who score 1350 or higher on the SAT and comment your result.
