For your final project, draw on all the knowledge of event planning, management and sponsorship you have gained over the course of this semester. Choose an event you would like to plan and try to convince me to hire you to manage it. It must be different than the one you wrote about in the interview paper. Once you choose an event, you will write a proposal that describes the event, theme, venue, decorations, food and any other vital component to your event. Your proposal should demonstrate how the event might look and how much it would cost for 50,100 and 300 attendees. Contact local vendors and get actual costs for all aspects of your event to include a budget. What type of insurance or permits will you need and their costs? Identify potential risks and give suggestions on how to control them. Include the sponsorship and marketing strategy you recommend for the event and include them in the budget as well. The final proposal should be submitted as a presentation, either a PowerPoint or written report, supported by charts, graphs, documents, photos, diagrams and plenty of writing that both informs and persuades, using the cost analysis to achieve a goal or benefit. This will be graded on grammar, spelling and punctuation. These types of errors are unprofessional and do not make a good impression on your client.
