The royalty agreements are not exclusive; that is$,$ an author can sign agreements with any number of publishers, and a publisher can have agreements with any number of authors.

When the publisher publishes a book, the publication date is kept in the database; a publisher would publish at least one book. Each publisher would have an identifying number, a name, and its operating cities maintained in the database. A publisher would also need to sign an exclusive contract with a distributor to distribute its books to the market. However, a distributor can represent many publishers. Every distributor in the database should have its name, identifying number, and phone number recorded, and it should represent at least one publisher. The distributors' phone numbers should be stored as area code, prefix, and line number.
