Victor & Mari are playing tag, but in an interesting setting. A giant, massless, rigid square sheet (side s) has been placed in the center of Observatory Park. It lies flat on the ground, and has been greased on its underside (so it can frictionlessly slide along the ground) while it still has friction with the feet of our players. Victor and Mari start in opposite corners of the square, and must remain on it. Mari's goal is not only to tag Victor as quickly as possible but also, in doing so, to push him as far as possible from the center of Observatory Park (the location of the square beneath their feet doesn't matter for this part of the challenge). About how far from the center can she push him? Would she be better off hurling herself through the air at him or simply running into him? If cornered, would Victor be better off running towards or away from Mari? To make your life easier you can assume that they are about the same mass, but to make the game end give Maria speed edge of about 20% (sorry Victor).
