(please find the final answers with clear calculations)Fig.2 Plan & elevation views of the industrial building.
Requirements:
a) Determine the uniformly distributed dead loads (kNm) on roof purlin P1, floor
joist J 1, roof girders B1&B2, and floor girders B3 & B4. Also, determine the
concentrated dead loads (kN) on columns C 1 and C 2 at the ground level. Assume
all roof purlins and floor joists are simply supported.
b) Using Australian Standards AS1170.1, determine the uniformly distributed live
loads on girders B1, B4 and columns C1 & C2. Only consider the uniformly
distributed actions and ignore the concentrated actions for live loads.Consider the 2-story industrial building shown in Fig. 2 with the structural elements' details of the
warehouse industrial building are provided below.
Structural Elements:
a- Roof:
Roof Sheeting: Lysaght SPANDEK
Purlin: Z15015 with spacing =1.50m
Ceiling: 10 mm plasterboard
Insulation: Cellulose insulation
Roof Beams: 310UB32.0
b- Floor:
Purpose of Floor: Mobile Stacking
Flooring material: Steel grating
Floor Joist: 200UB29.8 with spacing =1.50m
Floor Beams: 460UB82.1
c- Columns:
Columns: 310 UC158
Supports: Pinned at their base.
d- Any missing data could be reasonably assumed.
