Billy from Bahston offers Vinny from New Yooork $50 for Vinnys watch. Vinny agrees, they both shake hands and agree that Billy will bring the $50 the next day at 9:00am.

The next day at 9:00am, Billy shows up with $50 for the watch, to which Vinny says Hey Boston! I got your watch right heeya! I just sold it to Chip from Cheecago for $75 bucks We didnt sign nuttin so you aint got no contract. Jeez you Boston people tawk funny! Go Yankees!! Err.. Lets Go Mets! Is this a breach of contract even though nothing is in writing?

Bill needs a watch. He sees Sam's watch and tells him, "Hey Sam, I'll give you $100 for your watch." As Bill gets a closer look at the watch, he sees that the crystal facing of the watch is cracked and the wristband looks like it's about to fall apart. Bill then says, "Hey Sam, on second thought, don't worry about it, I don't need a watch that bad." Sam says, "No! I accept! I accept!"

Same parties as before. In this scenario, Bill says to Sam, "I'll give you $100 for that watch." Sam replies, "$135."

Bill says, "No thanks."

Sam then says "OK, OK... I'll sell it for $100 but Bill says he's no longer interested. and that there is no contract. Sam says there is a contract.

Bill offers to buy Sam's watch for $100. Sam says nothing, but takes the watch off, holds it out to give to Bill with one hand, and holds his other hand out palm up as to indicate "give me the money. Even though Sam said nothing, would this still be an acceptance or does Sam have to sy the words, "I accept!"?
