please help Background: Many ERP Systems and ERP Vendors are active inthe ERP market space. Some vendors sell a single product; some vendors

Background: Many ERP Systems and ERP Vendors are active in the ERP market space. Some vendors sell a single product; some vendors sell multiple products. Until recently, most ERP systems were available for purchase. Today many are available as both On-Premises and Cloud Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings. Some ERP systems are only available as SaaS offerings. Purchased systems can be deployed on a customer's compute platform or "hosted" on a remote environment as the customer chooses. All ERP vendors have websites that describe the company, their products, their target markets, their components, their strengths, their relative cost, etc. In the case of ERP vendors that offer multiple ERP systems, their products can be relatively easily compared and contrasted. Exercise: A. Find and Identify 10 ERP Systems. Multiple systems may come from the same vendor. In this case, be sure to identify at least 5 different vendors for this exercise. B. Answer the following questions for two (2) of these ERP/EBS systems: 1. What is the name and address of the ERP vendor? 2. What are the Company's products? Does the Company have a single product or multiple products? What is the history, lineage, of the different products? [FYI: Vendors do not typically build competing products; however, they often acquire competing products. Vendors may attempt to integrate the competing products into a single product, or they may continue to offer the competing products for different markets or market segments.] 3. What is the history of the ERP system? Was the system developed by the current vendor or was the system acquired by the current vendor? (In the case of an acquired system, knowing its history may be useful.) 4. What is the current version or release number of the ERP system? (This is one indication of how mature the system is.) 5. What are the major parts of the product? 6. What are the target markets for that product? 7. What are the product's strengths according to the vendor? 8. What product criticisms do you see looking at other web sites? 9. What is the approximate cost of the product? (If available) 10. Are demos available? Yes or No? 11. Identify other interesting information regarding the ERP system and/or vendor. 12. Find at least one online critique of the product and/or vendor and summarize its criticisms of the product. 13. Based on your research, what are the distinguishing characteristics of ERP systems? Regarding Your Memo: - Submit the answers to the questions in short paragraphs or bulleted text format. NO "wall of words". - Keep paragraphs \& bullets to 3 or 4 sentences &30 or 40 words at the most. No need for lengthy answers. Be specific. Be precise. Be succinct. Wordy responses may be reduced by 20% - Late submissions will NOT be accepted. Note: Do not include Intuit or Quicken or QuickBooks in your responses. While Quicken and QuickBooks are extremely popular among small businesses, Quicken and QuickBooks are NOT representative of ERP class business software. For classification purposes, Quicken and QuickBooks are more aptly described as automated bookkeeping systems. Also, do not include Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems or scheduling systems, which also are NOT ERP systems
