Please Help! Discuss how Agile was used in case $2\mathrm{.}3$ Excellence in Action $$ Albert Einstein Hospital. Thanks in advance!! Introduction

When Hospital Albert Einstein diagnosed the first Covid$-19$ case in Brazil, the disease had affected

approximately $80,000$ patients, spreading beyond Asia, Europe, and the Americas. It was then

Brazil's turn to be hit by the pandemic. A $62-$year$-$old patient, who had just arrived from Italy, was

admitted to the hospital's Emergency Room with typical symptoms of the disease. His diagnosis

would then be confirmed through complementary tests the following day.

Some weeks earlier, professionals from the institution discussed aspects related to the pandemic,

namely patient care and structural aspects. The need to organize the main actions, mitigate risks,

and develop synchronized multidisciplinary plans led the Organization's Management to create a

Crisis Committee formed by specialists in infectious and respiratory diseases, in addition to

members of the Hospital Infection Service, and by leaders from all areas, whereby action plans

would be discussed and designed through a complex model of interactions between patient care,

care support, and management.

In order to provide support to the Crisis Committee, a Planning Unit was implemented, consisting

of a multidisciplinary team with experts in project management, operational efficiency

methodologies, as well as a decentralized medical team with management training, focused on

harmonizing different task packages, project integrations, and communication between

professionals who, from that moment on$,$ would be dedicated to handling the crisis.
