1. Throughout 2020-21 we witnessed an unprecedented experiment with basic income. Most of the US population received substantive basic income payments in the form of covid relief assistance, and many low income workers received extra unemployment assistance. What might be our lessons from this experience? Is paying basic income to all a good idea? Or does this policy reduce incentives to work and therefore is undesirable? Discuss pros and cons.

2. Is inequality good or bad for a society? Some say that inequality is important because it allows the poor to dream to be rich and work hard to improve their wellbeing. Others say that inequality can destroy the social fabric of a society. Take a side and explain your point of view. Present at least 3 arguments in favor of your point of view. Each argument should be supported by a number, an example, or a good explanation.
