Transcript of Assault Scenario Beating of Homeless Man Over Beer Caught On Tape Male Newscaster: Police in Washington D.C. say this fight caught on surveillance video started over a single can of beer. Its 5:15 on Tuesday, when the man in the black coat punches the 31 year-old homeless man. A few minutes later, victim gets up but a second homeless man appears to attack him again! This time it appears he pushes him in to a van, where it appears he hits his head. The victim never got back up! Male Witness 1: Push in the car, this one. Female Newscaster: Over Beer? Male Witness 1: Yeah Female Newscaster: For Beer? Male Witness 1: Yeah Female Newscaster: Did you call Police, Policia? Male Witness 1: No! Male Newscaster: And no one did for nineteen minutes. During that time people moved the victim to the curb. The owner of the minivan gets in and drives off, all the time people keep walking past the victim, some stop, many dont. Male Witness 2: He should not have been down like that with people stepping over him. I dont know whats going on. Male Newscaster: Finally a worker at the grocery store calls 9-1-1 and within two minutes EMS is at the scene. Male Witness 3: What can I do? This is the neighborhood, nobody cares!
