This is the feedback that I received from my Prof: Overall, this is a great topic. My only concern at this point is that it seems very broad. So, it's definitely a good starting place, but think about how to narrow the focus.

1.) PROPOSAL of the topic that you are proposing to use for all of the assignments that will lead you to the final paper.

This assignment will include your proposed topic that is related to Global Affairs. You should start by choosing a broad topic, but then you are going to need to narrow the focus of your topic and research significantly in order to start to research effectively

Include a proposed title of your proposal which should be short, accurate, and clear. A single sentence containing ten or fewer words is best.

You should include a brief (about 250 word) summary of the project, including:The writing assignments might consist of many of following: the project or question(s), the significance and/or relevance of the topic, the audience, methodology, among other elements that might make sense given your specific research.

In order to come up with a broad are of interest I would suggest either thinking about something in the area of global affairs and international issues that interests you - all you have to do is watch or read the daily news where you should be able to find a topic that will work or you can also look through your text book which covers many of the issues in global affairs.

2.) ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY

- you should have 10-12 sources. While the use of things like newspaper and magazine articles that are timely, relevant and on point, you should also make sure that you are using authoritative articles (those you can find on Google Scholar or via the UMB online library sources).

- Annotation refers to giving a summary and evaluation of the source. So essentially, what is the source, where does it get its authority from, how will it help you in your research.

Third assignment: a summary You must draft an outline for your research paper for this project. The major headers and subheadings that will organize your work should be included in your outline. At this point, it may be composed of bullet points and key themes, giving enough details to communicate your views.

Fourth assignment: draft You must produce a draft of your research paper for this project. Your draft should include a title page, a bibliography (without annotations for this project), and complete sentences. The thematic and sub-topic titles from your outline (Assignment #3) should be included. The draft should have whole sentences, but you may also make notes about how you intend to expand on certain aspects of your analysis. Follow the offered instructions to ensure correct formatting and citation of your sources using in-text, footnotes, or endnotes.

5: Final Paper The total length of the final paper, including the title page, should be 15 pages. No more than 2 pages should be set aside for the bibliography. The subject and subtopic titles from your outline should be included. Use Times New Roman font in 12-point size, with double spacing, and with 1-inch margins as specified in the instructions. Page numbers should be used throughout the document. Cite your sources in-text, in footnotes, or in endnotes, and provide a bibliography at the end of the work.

Use credible and appropriate academic sources while doing your study. Do not use the textbook or Wikipedia as academic sources. Instead, use academic papers from reliable books, databases, and journals
