Study the health system of Germany in general elaborating its three main components:

a) Regulation/Governance; how the health system is regulated in the country, what are the regulatory bodies in the country, what is the role of each body and how it functions.

b) Financing; its level (is it enough), its sources, and to what extent the financing system is fair.

c) service provision.

You may also use the WHO building blocks of the health system in your analysis. What are your comments/opinion of the health system and how to improve its performance and how to deal with its pitfalls?

Using

data available at the World Health Organization website www.who.int :

a) Analyze performance of selected Health System

b) Compare it with averages of the Globe, EMR or respective WHO region, and

Income level (as Upper Middle-Income countries, etc.)

c) Determine gaps in Inputs and outcomes

d) Develop options to fill gaps

e) Determine any required information for further analysis
