please help me to solve question (a) thank you

Question 2 John started working as a mortgage sales officer with a foreign bank. Within the same year, he was promoted to team leader. Subsequently, John joined another bank when he was 25 years old. Money wasn't really a factor. Although his first job gave him a really good package, with overseas trips, bonuses and increments, he didn't stay on to be a sales manager. John shared that he wanted to make decisions on work-related matters and the sales manager position was not available and he couldn't wait any more. The initial five months of his second job was difficult, because he had to learn new skills and set up a new office. Nevertheless, the hard work paid off, and for the next two years, sales were good and money kept pouring in. He was chasing industry awards and recognition and money wasn't the motivation. "Things had become too casy and it wasn't challenging anymore." Furthermore, a change in the company management made the situation worse as he didn't seem to fit in. John knew something was really wrong, and knew it was time to move on. Although he had to take a 50% pay-cut from his previous five-figure basic salary to join his current company, he is really happy" now since he gets to enjoy profit-sharing benefits. At the age of 29, John is already the chief marketing officer of a small IT healthcare service provider company. Ali has worked his way through the advertising industry, food production, events management, and the retail industry before venturing into property development.
