Company Analysis Paper

Prepare a 4-6 page, double-spaced, type-written analysis of a company. All references should be cited using APA formattive. Follow the points outlined below:

1- Select a public company (one that is traded on the stock exchange) or a small business and use that company as the topic of your analysis. Research the company using the internet, public records, and/or personal experience to determine the points in #2.

2- Create a well-rounded analysis of the following business elements of the company.

a-Identify the business structure (corporate, partnership, LLC, etc); include background information about the company, its mission statement, and its philosophy for operating and managing.

b- Workplace Environment identify characteristics that describe the culture of organization, including the workforce, management, and influencing factors. This section may contain information about diversity, training, opportunities for promotion and professional development, as well as management functions of planning, controlling, organizing, and directing within the organization. Not all items listed here need to be addressed, and students can be creative in how workforce, culture and management are addressed. Examples can be an effective way of describing these components of a business. Demonstrate how these topics and functions match or mismatch the companys overall philosophy.

c-Identify the marketing mix: product, place, price, and promotion. Provide a well thought out discussion and analysis of how each of these points support each other and match the target market.

d- Financial Indicators identify financial goals for profitability and growth. Review the companys income statement and balance sheet and provide your observations about the performance of the company.
