DF05 - Hacking Laws Discussion:

We read about some of the different U.S. Federal Laws related to hacking way. Now that you have spent most of the semester learning about and even using different applications and techniques used in hacking, what are the legal implications of using that knowledge?

Reminders: You should pick an incident that has occurred within the last three years. (This means no posts about Target or Sony.)

Find a well-researched article about a successful or unsuccessful hacking incident. Include links to one or more articles about the incident.

As part of your post, summarize the key points of the hacking incident AND indicate which Federal or State laws were violated as a result of the incident. If this information is not included in the article, then do some research and explain which law(s) you believe were violated AND why.
