The facility you are working at is interested in buying a new spectrophotometric instrument to test nitrate levels in water. Your team recently sent out the same standard samples for analysis by two different instrument manufacturers. It is your responsibility to evaluate the data from each instrument and advise your team on the best instrument for your water treatment facility. a) Calculate the calibration sensitivity of each instrument b) Determine the limit of detection (LOD) for each instrument c) Find the dynamic ranges of each instrument Now that you know the limit of detection, sensitivity and dynamic range of each instrument, make, and justify, a recommendation to your team on the best instrument
