Research Report (Individual or a group up to 3 students)

Select one company or organization that has operations or business activities in more than one country. The report must be 8-10 double-spaced pages and include a reference page and use APA citation style (do not count the cover page or reference page in your page count).

This project offers you the opportunity to select an international company/organization and explore the management challenges they face globally and how they respond.

The following outlines the required sections of the written research report:

1. Introduction: Provide the background of your company/organization. When was it formed, what does it sell/produce and to whom, what countries does it operate in.

2. International operations: briefly describe each of the firms operations in each country. You should say what activities are performed by each unit, when they were established, and describe their ownership structure (i.e., wholly owned subsidiary or joint venture with one or more partner firms).

3. Analysis: In examining the operations how is the company performing? What are its strengths, weaknesses, challenges, and opportunities? What are the impacts of the companys activities in the country/countries/region? You might consider how the pandemic has impacted it.

4. Implications and Recommendations: Based on your analysis, should they expand further, relocate current operations, or even divest some aspects? Do you have any suggestions for managing uncertainty? Any suggestions for managing cross culturally or leveraging unique opportunities for value creation from the host country?

1. Depth and breadth of research (7 points). Use a variety of sources scholarly, company-based, industry analyses, other relevant sources.

2. Analysis of research (7 points).

3. Recommendations (6 points). Be specific not generic or overly broad.

4. Overall writing and presentation quality (5 points): Headings and subheadings should be used to make the paper easier to follow. Attention should be paid to use of proper grammar and spelling. A bibliography must be included. APA citation style.
