Please help, need assistance with my ACCT 112 Project. I can't Read the book and teach myself. I need help/tutoring to walk through this. I have the excel link for the spreedsheets on Journal, Ledger etc as well if needed, I can screen shot an send.
PROJECT:
If you don't feel comfortable doing the project in Excel, you may use the PDF workpapers posted. You can create any workpapers by hand that have not been provided if you don't use Excel. I would personally use Excel. It's much neater and easier to read. I would start with getting the preparation of the payroll register completed. Then you will record and post all transactions. The book tells you exactly what you are to do. You know transactions must be recorded and posted before the worksheet and financial statements can be compiled. It's a lot of work!! Work on a little bit at a time. Remember I warned you all that the project is scheduled for Thanksgiving week. It's due in the Dropbox and Mini Practice Set Exam deadline is November 26th (Sunday after Thanksgiving). I highly suggest getting started now and doing little-by-little to be done before Thanksgiving week so you can enjoy that time doing something else. I cannot and will not extend the project. I have put check figures on D2L for you.
Your tasks are to do the following:
- Set up the general journal, general ledgers, accounts receivable subsidiary ledgers, accounts payable subsidiary ledgers, and the auxiliary petty cash record. Update the beginning balances for March from the February ending balance information provided.
- Journalize the transactions and prepare the auxiliary petty cash record.
- Prepare the payroll register and journalize the payroll.
- Post to the general ledgers and update the accounts payable and accounts receivable subsidiary ledgers.
- Prepare a trial balance on the worksheet and complete the worksheet.
- Prepare an income statement, statement of owners equity, and classified balance sheet.
- Journalize the adjusting and closing entries.
- Post the adjusting and closing entries to the ledger.
- Prepare a schedule of accounts receivable and a schedule of accounts payable.
- Prepare a post-closing trial balance.
- Complete Form 941 and sign it for the quarter ending March 31, 202X.
