Online Learning vs Classroom Learning Nowadays, more than ever due to the effects of the pandemic Covid-19 online classes have become the only form of education available. Preschools, high schools, universities all levels of education were caught off guard and had to adjust quickly in this new e-learning reality. Many among scholars though are being sceptical about this transition from classroom learning to online learning. Even though online learning has been around for a while still it has never been used in this scale before, so its efficiency it is still questionable. Both forms of learning have been over a period of time a controversial topic of discussion. Both forms of learning have shown to have their limitations and benefits. On the one hand, many are of the opinion that e-learning will be or we can say that already is a game changer for modern education. E-learning has introduced new innovative tools new methods of teaching that has transformed enormously the traditional model of education for both teachers and student transformed enormously the traditional model of education for both teachers and student respectfully. Firstly, e-learning is highly convenient and flexible, in contrast to the traditional classroom lessons it offers the leisure and opportunity for both students and teachers to access their classes from were ever they are in the world in the comfort of their home, in form of online classroom meetings in zoom or through pre-recorded video lectures all simply having an internet connection. Secondly, another also important benefit of e-learning is that is less pricy almost free in contrast with classroom learning. Students are able to pay less money in tuition fees, less spend on transportation, less on parking and gas etc. Also, most of learning materials are given to students in online format so students are not oblighed to buy the materials any more on the contrary, they get them for free. These costs mentioned above are usually a great burden for university students and students in general. Together with the decrease of cost through e-learning, another significant positive outcome we have from e-learning is how it contributes to the protection of the environment. A recent study that was done by the British Open University has shown that online courses equate to an average of 90% less energy 85% fewer CO2 emissions per student than traditional in person courses. Also the digitalization of books and school materials have also impacted in the drastic reduction of the wastes on paper and other school materials done in traditional classrooms. Last but not least, online learning has given the opportunity to all those people that were interested in enrolling in universities for bachelors or masters degree but were hesitate cause of obligations mostly work with e- learning they can do that without a single problem. On the other hand, we are not able to say that e-learning has solved all the educational problems and that is perfect, far from that. However, through these difficult times of quarantine we have all better realized the value and the need for interpersonal interaction with the others around us. Cause even though online classes ensure students with necessary Cause even though online classes ensure students with necessary informations lets say better, quicker and faster still the role of school and the interpersonal interactions that offers students and teachers is more valuable than gold. The school evironment gives this opportunity of interaction between students and teachers because at the end of the day school is not only oblighed to teach students only through books and textbooks but also by acquiping them for life. Secondly, e learning is not always available to all. In classroom lessons are more convinient for all students to attend. There are many students that come from middle and lower income families which do not always have the ability to buy these necessary tools for online learning such as internet installations, smartphones etc. For example in Albania there were many students that had this issue during the pandemic. Many cases were raported about students that were not able to frequent online classes in different cities and rural parts of the country due to lack of access to means to enter online courses. Thirdly, it is believed that is far more easier to engage in person than from a small screen in your phone or a computer screen. Bearing in mind also the fact that students when online, even when they wish to better focus in class still get easily distracted having their phones in hand. Another important fact is that when in the classroom students are less likely to get distracted than when their learning environment is replaced by the all common care free house. So in other words, students tend to get increadibly confortable and in a way a bit lazy. Online learning requaires significant intrerpersonal motivation and dicipline from the students part in order for them to manage to stay on track with the workload they have. Last but not least, teaching in classroom helps also the teacher to have a more effective learning time and communication time with the students. It is believed that students in class gain greater understanding of the class materials. Also, students take better notes of their lectures with the materials. Also, students take better notes of their lectures with the supervizion and guidenss of teachers and through interesting activities. When students are engaged in their studies, their remember more of the material and receive a greater understanding of the materials. In conclusion, both e-learning and classroom learning have proven that are effective and both are important for the future of students. It is indeed hard to choose one of this two as higher than the other when both have their limitations. It is though a common knowledge now that internet and it's benefits are here to stay for the long run which means that without a doubt that many aspects of e- learning are for sure going to be encoorporated in too the traditional classroom learning and make it highely more effecrive than it is today. 1.
