Prepare a one-page single spaced technical memorandum about the topic of your choosing demonstrating your research and writing skills. The memorandums should demonstrate your understanding of the specific topic you select, be written in the proper format, and include an introduction and conclusion. In preparing the memo you should use the guidance and format you have learned from May Chapter 10 Memos and Briefing Documents. Please see Figure 10-2 and figure 10-3 on pages 191 194 (May) as guidelines, however, be sure to include all sections mentioned on pages 197 198 (May). The Memo must be a typed document, single spaced and at least two pages in length. It should be one page of written information and another page for referencing. You must pick a subtopic within the general topics listed below. Note, use of a general topic such as Individual Taxation or any of the other general topics listed below is not acceptable for your memo. You are to select a more specific topic in one of the general areas outlined below such as Individual Gift Taxation. The topic of the memo is a smaller topic found within the general topic instead of the general topic itself. Ensure all work is your own and/or cite all sources you obtain any information from. Please use MLA format for citing sources. No plagiarism will be tolerated. If a project is plagiarized it will result in an automatic zero and could result in failing the course.
