Please I need answer in 30 minutes.... please do quickly...
Part II. Letter Situation 20 Read the following letter problem and write the letter using your knowledge of today's business writing style and approach. Assume you are the writer of the letter and address it to the right person. In preparing the letter, use the principles of clear business writing and effective business correspondence. Follow the structure suggested by Raymond V. Lesikar in his book. Show all the parts of a formal letter. I. Claim Letter 10 As Professor Sam Bruno, two weeks ago you returned from a three week tour of the People's Republic of China. You sponsored a group of 25 business professionals and educators on the tour, which included university lectures, visits to manufacturing facilities, historic tours, and so on. You contracted with International Tour, Inc., for travel and accommodations for the trip. Their price of $3,750 per person included all expenses for the trip except personal spending and travel to and from San Francisco, the originating point for the tour. The last leg of the trip included an overweight stay in Hong Kong. When your group checked into the Hong Kong Sheraton, they were told that the moderately priced $58.50- per-person rooms were at $84.50 per person. They were also told that they would have to pay for the difference in room rates themselves. You talked with the sales manager of the hotel, but he would not relent, saying that his agreement with International Tours included rooms in the moderately priced range only. As a goodwill gesture for the group you agreed to pick up the difference in charges yourself and settle after the tour was completed. Indeed, the trip proved ever thing you expected it to be. The only drawback, however, was the excess billing charge at the hotel. You have reviewed the contract with the International Tours. It says explicitly that the company will provide acceptable accommodations throughout the 21 day tour. You conclude, therefore, that the company owes you $650 the price you were charged at the Hong Kong hotel. The company and the hotel can work out any differences they might have. Your agreement with International Tours says they are to provide travel, accommodations, and other expenses at a set fee the entire period. Write a letter that will explain your case and get you the money you are due. 2. Adjustment Refusal Letter 10 Read the following letter problem and write the letter using your knowledge of today's business writing style and approach. Assume you are the writer of the letter and address it to the right person. In preparing the letter, use the principles of clear business writing and effective business correspondence. Assume the position of adjustment manager Stuart Blank at Compu-Mart, Inc., and deny the claim of Frances DeMille. Ms. DeMille sent you an irate claim letter asking for full money back for the Susuci A50 printer she bought along with a microcomputer last month. She asks for the full purchase price of $600 including tax. Along with the letter, she returned the printer with instructions to throw it away. Inspection of the printer reveals that it isn't working because apparently it received a heavy jolt. In fact, damage to the frame suggests that it had been dropped. Even so, the broken parts can be replaced easily at some minor cost. As it is a fault of the customer although the equipment is well under warranty coverage you are going to refuse Ms. DeMille claim. But as the machine can be repaired at small cost you want to give her an option to get the repair service at a discounted price. She can still use the printer with full one-year guarantee you gave on purchase. Moreover if she agrees to take the repaired printer back you wish to delight your customer with a colour printer ribbon as gift. Write Ms. DeMille your decision in such a way that she thinks positively about your decision, product, and servicesStep by Step Solution
