Submit Project Proposal

This activity is to begin thinking about a course term project and submitting your ideas (keeping in mind the goals stated in the learning objectives). Identify an existing or potential small to medium size business (a business traded on any of the U.S. or international stock exchanges will not qualify) that could or might be considering operating internationally or expanding its international operations.

The goal of the term project is to develop a plan to help the organization manage its internationalization. If you use an existing business, you must be able to communicate directly with the managers of the business. Consider using one of the entrepreneurial mentors' businesses (Please see the list of entrepreneurial mentors and a short description of their businesses in Week 1). The entrepreneurial mentors are available on a first-come-first serve basis.

The Project Proposal should include:

• Information on the selected company including its country of origin and characteristics (note that you can select any type of product or service except illegal goods or services).
• Reasoning behind the selection of the product and company for an international market.
• The country of the planned entry (note that the country of planned entry cannot be the US, Canada or Mexico). Onlyonecountry should be identified.

Please note that you can share information, resources and even have a chat about questions or concerns you have with your cohort members while working on the proposal but the work you submit has to be your own work only.
