6. Participants in the trial were asked to guess whether they thought they were using the active device or the sham device. Using the information in Table 3, evaluate the extent to which you think the blinding procedures for participants worked (For all parts of this question, treat the responses "Sham device" and "Don't know" as equivalent).

a. Examine the first month information from Cycle 1 for the active and sham devices. Does it appear that the blinding of participants was successful? Describe how you evaluated this question and how you used the data from Table 3 to answer the question.

b. Examine the information from the first month of Cycle 2. Did the success (or failure) of the blinding of participants appear to change between the first month of Cycle 1 and the first month of Cycle 2?
