Please make an original post based on the following role assignment: You are an external professional coach retained by YYZ Corporation to help Katrina Ozaki transition into her new role as the Director of Integrated Sales. Katrina is a recent external hire from a smaller organization known for flat organizational structures, cutting edge innovation, and swift customization to meet customer needs. Katrina is a strategic hire at YYZ as the organization has struggled to meet customer needs due to the rigidness of the YYZ hierarchy and an inability for competing internal sales teams to cooperate. Each sales team is aligned with a specific YYZ product line. Many opportunities are missed to create substantial value for customers through innovative integration of YYZ products and capabilities. Furthermore, there is a history of sales cannibalization (i.e., different YYZ sales reps engaging the same customer with sharply conflicting sales pitches), which has resulted in the overall loss of key accounts. YYZ has a distinguish history, known for integrity and high quality products. However, in recent years their push for increased profit has resulted in regulatory violations and a need to re-establish high trust in the market. In her prior organization Katrina has an impeccable record of innovating, integrating, and leveraging a full range of her prior company's products, services, and capabilities to bring massive value to customers with consistent, record-setting results in terms of profit and new business creation. With expectations for similar results in this newly created Director of Integrated Sales role, YYZ made Katrina an offer she could not refuse. The objective of this coaching assignment is to help Katrina with her transition. You are part of an cadre of external coaches commissioned by YYZ, all of whom have Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and are authorized to speak openly within the cadre regarding your coaching engagements for the purpose of shared learning, collective support of those you coach, and wider organizational insight. Please make an initial post to the coaching cadre of fellow coaches (I.e., members of our MGMT3720 class) describing your coaching plan in terms of models, theories, and/or approaches you would take. This may include, but not limited to any of the following: MBTI, Competing Values Framework, organizational structure/design, cultural, Goal Setting Theory, Ladder of Inference, Double Loop Learning, the Speed of Trust model, values, ethics, and/or any other models theories pertinent to the case. Your fellow coaches know these models and, therefore, you may move directly to meaningful discussions on the subject of helping Katrina Ozaki. There is a lot we do not know about this case, which is very common when initiating coaching engagements. Therefore, the original post may be best positioned in the context of your plans to get more insight and early stages of the coaching engagement (i.e., tools, theories, approaches) and how the expected/targeted insight may be useful. Your original post should follow the five-paragraph format described in #2 of below rubric and should not longer than exceed 900 words (approximately). You must also select two discussion posts from other class members and offer comments on the others' posts. To The rubric for the discussion board assignment is broken into four parts. 1. Educational Quality - This looks at the engaging quality of the post, how well thinking is stimulated, effect illustrations concepts, and/or additional resources leveraged to present perspective. Keep in mind, you are the educator in a discussion post context. Will the other coaches in this hypothetical cadre (i.e., readers of your post) become better coaches from the example you model in the post? 2. Writing - This factors in the quality and organization writing. Should be appropriate in form and function for a graduate course. It should feature a brief introduction (aimed to hook the reader), body/theme paragraphs (2-5 content rich paragraphs on relevant themes), and a conclusion that synthesizes and presents the so what of the post. 3. Content - This looks at the adeptness at using the theoretical tools and depth of understanding of the content covered. Two-three tools, concepts, or theories should be featured. Too many may result in a lack of depth
