To double the frequency of the encoder output, an XOR digital gate is required. In this experiment, a TTL chip $74$LS$86$ is used to double the frequency. The pinouts specification of $74$LS$86$ is shown in Figure $2.$

Connect the outputs of channels A and B to pin $1$ and pin $2$ of $74$LS$86.$ Use the oscilloscope to observe the output of pin $3.$ Compare the $2$x signal with the original signal.
