PLEASE NEED THIS ASAP...

Hello Thank you for your help with my troubles. Ocho Rios is a bar in Daytona, Florida. We serve regulars most of the year, but around spring break, we get a large number of vacationers, which requires us to add a number of seasonal employees for a few months. Thus, we have to be able to train a large number of servers quickly and cheaply to prepare for the increase in business. I dont have time to spend a whole day training each new employee, so they have to learn on the job. Right now, new servers shadow another server for two days to learn the menu and how to work the register. Then we allow them to serve during the afternoon, when we are less busy, until they think they are ready to serve drinks at prime time. If we get too many complaints, we fire the server.

We have a number of problems that occur each year. First, the new servers dont always do their job. I discover them smoking, talking on their phones, or talking with other stuff while customers are waiting for fresh drinks. Second, they are not always very friendly to customers. They think their job is just to serve the drinks, but customers who have fun while they are at our bar are more likely to spend money and to come back again. Finally, sometimes I find that a server who has supposedly been trained doesnt know the menu, cant work the register, and messes up orders.
